Once in a while a television series comes along and grabs you by the arm and doesn't let go. Now, you're probably thinking, "that hasn't happened in a long time," and you might be right however, we think "Cypress Bayou" just might change your tune.
The series, not yet released, starring Chase Coleman from the hit CW series, "The Originals," has elements of romance, action and of course that thing everyone loves, the spook factor. Because let's face it, who doesn't like a good scare every now and then?
Recently, I got the chance to pick Coleman's brain and find out more about this one-of-a-kind series and like always, I'm happy to share the scoop with you.
BECCA ROSE: Tell us a little bit about Cypress Bayou.
CHASE COLEMAN: It's a supernatural show in the vain of True Blood, Game of Thrones, Dark Shadows, etc. It's going to be very gritty and much darker than most of the other supernatural shows that have been out.
BR: Where did the concept come from?
CC: You'd have to ask Mysti and Angel about that, the creators. They were inspired by Dark Shadows, etc, to create a show that is based on the old ancient Voo Doo lore of New Orleans, and ancient Europe.
BR: Who do you portray and what is your favorite characteristic of his?
CC: I play Declan Desmonde, the leader of the "Garou" which is a people cursed by bad witches, but then blessed by the good witches to protect the town of Cypress Bayou.
BR: When will our readers be able to watch an episode, and where?
CC: Can't say that yet. ;)
BR: Can our readers do anything to help?
CC: Sure, follow me as well as Cypress Bayou on twitter, and stay tuned for updates. ;) @CBayouFandom
