The recent release of the new application on iOS has given Facebook users an alternate layout to choose from in the way they get their news from the social media giant. The application has been named ‘Paper’ and can be found in the iTunes store for iPhones only as of now, while the layout isn't forced onto every user of Facebook it doesn't mean it hasn't escaped some criticism. The iPad application going by the same application name ‘Paper’ has released a blog post in which they have commented on the recent news from Facebook's new release.
"We think Facebook can apply the same degree of thought they put into the app into building a brand name of their own,” Georg Petschnigg the founder of the Paper iPad app stated. The blog continued to say,"An app about stories shouldn't start with someone else's story. Facebook should stop using our brand name."
The iPad application as it’s named is an easy way to store notes, ideas and doodles on a piece of paper on an Apple iPad. Then also back in 2012 Georg Petschnigg had his app named “App of the Year” by Apple, however Facebook is such a big company and one of the few opponents that can have their way with pretty much anyone will trump Georg Petschnigg unfortunately. Jan 30th was when Georg Petschnigg found out about the new ‘Paper’ from Facebook in the iTunes store “with everyone else,” he commented.

Ironically one of Petschnigg board members is in fact apart of Facebook's development team, to which makes me wonder how he never caught wind of this until now. This ties up his company, FiftyThree with Facebook on a much tighter level and partially sharing one asset. Though this tension might make that same developer pick between FiftyThree and Facebook sooner rather than later.
