Some of you might not as familiar with the name, Sam Heughan, but trust us when we say this man is worthy of the title of Hottie Of The Week! Heughan is currently in Scotland filming the TV series, Outlander with co-stars Caitriona Balfe, Laura Donnelly and Prentis Hancock. Heughan has the leading man good looks that can make even the most skeptical and hard to please women melt.
His piercing blue eyes jut out from his pupils and seem to almost look deep into your soul saying, “You will love me,” and you certainly will.
Admittedly this writer was not aware of Heughan until one of our own brought the hotness of this actor into my life and I am so glad she did. As I sat at my computer last night researching this hottie and watching videos of him on YouTube one thing became very clear, I was falling under his spell and I was falling fast.
To give you a better introduction as to who Heughan is the actor was born on April 30, 1980 in New Galloway, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, UK. Yes, ladies that means the already hot man has a sexy Scottish accent, which only makes him even more irresistible. For most women accents can be the breaking point. It is very hard to try to turn one’s back on a heavy sexy accent, especially one that we don’t hear that often.
Women are not the only ones to notice Heughan as he was nominated in 2003 for the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Most Promising Newcomer of the prior year. This nomination came following his performance in Outlying Islands, which took place at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs in 2002.
While some of you might be scratching your heads and getting frustrated that you have to wait till Outlander is released to see this hottie, have no fear we have a few places you can see him without the wait.
In 2011 Heughan did a made-for-TV movie called, A Princess for Christmas alongside Katie McGrath and Roger Moore as well as a film called, Emulsion co-starring with Claudia Bassols and Lex Shrapnel. Looking for more of a television setting to see him in? Okay then be sure to check out Doctors a television series from 2009 where Heughan played Scott Neilson in all 21 episodes of the series.
Wherever you choose to see him while you wait for the time traveling adventure, Outlander, we are sure you will fall in love with him just as quickly as we did. Just try not to faint for too long otherwise you’ll miss Outlander when it is released!
