“And Shepherds we shall be for thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand. Our feet may swiftly carry out thy commands. So we shall flow a river forth to thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti.” If you don’t know the significance of the prayer then you had better go to Netflix and watch, The Boondock Saints and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day right now!
The MacManus brothers said the above prayer before they would kill a criminal/murderer in the hit movie series, The Boondock Saints. The films told the story of Connor MacManus (Sean Patrick Flanery) and his brother, Murphy MacManus (Norman Reedus) who became vigilantes in Boston, Massachusetts and would rid the city of the worst of the mobsters living in the area. The films broke the mold of what an action/comedy should be and made the entire journey with the MacManus brothers more wonderful than we could have ever imagined.
Besides the incredible storyline what makes these films worthwhile? The answer, my friends, lies with actors, Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery. You already know how this writer feels about Norman Reedus but what you didn’t know is how much this writer admires and loves Sean Patrick Flanery.
First of all, Flanery is absolutely gorgeous and those blue eyes are to die for. Watching him in Boondock Saints, Dexter and everything else he’s ever been in is like watching an angel floating through the clouds providing humans with entertainment. Okay that was cheesy and cliché but it makes sense for how this writer feels about Flanery.
As all of our picks for, “Hottie of the Week,” there is far more to Flanery that just talent and good looks, he is extremely caring, giving and wonderful to his fans. He has been exceptionally passionate about his other talent, fitness and marshal arts. Flanery has been known to give his fans exercises and valuable advice as to how to meet their weight loss and fitness goals, many times retweeting about his fan’s progress. He seems genuinely proud of the progress his fans make as they struggle and push through their diets and exercise routines in order to get their bodies to look the way they want them too. How can anyone not love this man?
Furthermore, Flanery’s acting talents are out of this world. He convincingly plays each role as though he were those characters. Sometimes it is hard for fans to differentiate between his characters and the real man. While this writer has not yet had the pleasure of meeting Flanery the day will come in September at Richmond Comic Con and this writer is positive that he will meet all of her expectations and prove why he is so worthy of the spotlight and the title of, “Hottie of the Week.”
