ANDROID WEAR-- This year has been touted as one of two things, the year of wearable technology and/or the year of 4K videos. Since the 4K relies on users getting new hardware to not only record video footage in 4K, but to actually watch it as well in needed a 4K TV or monitor. LG has been busy it seems on the recently rumored smartwatch, and it looks like those recent rumors are now fact thanks to some video footage by LG of their “G Watch” which is due to be released later this year.
Google’s Android team has came up with the concept of “Android Wear” in which it is software that is specifically made to support wearable technologies by running on the open sourced Android platform. This newly featured smartwatch by LG will be the second major hardware manufacturer to confirm a product by the end of the 2014 calendar year alongside the highly(and I do mean as highly anticipated as you can possibly get without touching it) Motorola Moto 350 smartwatch.
States it is light weight
Runs all day on a single charge
Runs Android Wear
Screen never sleeps
Another square shaped design
Only 2 colors to choose from
The watch as stated earlier is expected to be in the 2nd quarter of this year, although it may not happen until the 3 quarter when the holiday season is near. Speculation is growing amongst online readers and Android enthusiasts that this new smartwatch by LG could be released along with the new LG G3 in the same way Samsung released the Galaxy Gear with the Samsung Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5.
The color choices are a bit limited as the standard all black is a no brainer but the choice to go gold(another gold device??) seems that the trend isn't dead yet, although I see a gold colored devices as often as I see Bigfoot. Personally I would like to see a kind of sterling silver, though the biggest gripe for me will always be the square watch face, although that could be based on the fact there is only one round faced smartwatch and that might mean i’m having the “limited edition” feel about the whole subject.
Is This The “Charging Point” Or Maybe A “Sensor”?
The New LG Watch Will Have A Metal Body
Will It Last For 24 Hours? I Seems Like It Will!
Could We Go Swimming With It Is The Real Question Though
