MUFC-- The Red Devils got off to the kind of start many had been hoping for since the start of this years English Premier League season. News coming into the match was mostly around skipper Wayne Rooney as a video went viral of him messing around in his kitchen boxing a former player who caught the United captain on the cin and knocking him out. Rooney is an avid boxing fan and growing up he was training 3-4 years while still a youth and playing for Everton.

The first goal came from a pinpoint pass from Michael Carrick onto Marouane Fellaini who took it onto his left foot and shot it across goal into the bottom right side of the net. Carrick has been a man plagued with injuries this year and Manchester United have desperately needed him and with an assist in the first goal it was only right for him to get on the scorecard as well.

Marouane Fellaini returned the favor as a cross came in from a corner kick which he knocked back into the center of the box which then deflected to a wide open Michael Carrick. With the ball lacking a bit of pace Carrick wound up some power and headed the ball back across goal into the bottom right side the goal, the goal was textbook.

Without Di Maria starting due to his red card last match, this was the best game Manchester United have played thus far this season. This could be the perfect opportunity for Di Maria to look on and learn a bit more about the English Premier League as it is much different than that of the Spanish League.

The goal scoring wasn’t finished either with both Fellaini and Carrick on the sheet making it 2-0. Wayne Rooney muscled his way past the Tottenham defenders to slot home the 3rd and final goal. His celebration was in good spirit from the news of him getting knocked out, after scoring Rooney then threw a few air jabs then fell over backwards as if being knocked out. Though the Spurs may have felt that the 3rd goal was the knockout goal for this being any sort of match.
