EPL-- Manchester United earned a late point away against West Brom on Sunday as Daily Blind scored in the 88th minute to tie up the match. This is becoming a trend for the red devils as they are still in search for their first win away from Old Trafford. West Brom on the other hand will be happy with all the points they can get, though it must sting a little to see a full 3 points turn into just 1, especially when when they are only 2 points outside of relegation.
Stephane Sessegnon opened up the game, with a shot from just outside the box and into the top right corner, David de Gea looked as if he was caught off guard for a split second too long. With Wayne Rooney still out from the red card, Adnan Januzaj got the nod to start alongside captain Robin Van Persie, although it looked as if he was meant to push out wide a bit more than trying to create up top as a pure striker.
The first half ended with West Brom leading 1-0, however second half substitution Marion Fellaini came on for Herrera and took a ball of his chest and onto his right foot for a beautiful goal into the top right corner. Both teams had their moments, while United controlled most of them, there were a few opportunities in which West Brom were almost unlucky to have not converted.
The 66th minute saw the home team take back the lead as Berahino was wide open to take the ball 30 yards and slot it into the bottom left corner easily. Soon after Robin Van Persie saw a shot come off the woodwork that would have seen the teams go level again. It was not until the dire moments when a cross from Rafael was cleared out poorly to find Daily Blind running onto it and slotting it home with a curling effort into the bottom left corner.
Manchester United were the better team for most of the match, but with the scored ending in a draw it can be fair to say that this was the proper result. This leaves United in 5th place and West Brom in 14th with all teams having played their 8th fixture of the EPL season.
