Neil Degrasse Tyson & Bill Nye Can Help Save Americas Future Genterations

SCIENCE-- A country that is literate in science is a country that has a future for the people and by the people. This is where the line is drawn unfortunately due to those in power or want to be in power based on the fact that an intellectually empowered individual is an individual that actually thinks. Therefore a thinker is one that will question their government, because as Americans remember this, “Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth” which was said by one of the greatest American Presidents, Abraham Lincoln.

This is where Neil Degrasse Tyson and Bill Nye come into play, it is one thing to be scientifically literate, it’s another to be passionate enough with the skill set needed to bridge the gap to the common folk. Many of us born in the 80’s and even 90’s will know all about Bill Nye “the Science Guy” who single handedly taught most of the American children the fundamentals of science.

Then fast forward to the last 5 years or so and Neil Degrasse Tyson begins to make his mark in mainstream media. The series Cosmos is reborn with him as the vocal leader, taking the reigns from the late great Carl Sagan.

Here we sit today and both Neil Degrasse Tyson and Bill Nye have taken the roles of Batman and Robin of the science community, though both have their days of being Batman and/or Robin. Parents should be pushing their kids to excel their lives to be the best they can, and being literate in Science among many many other things is the best place to start.

People like it when they understand something that they previously thought they couldn't understand. It's a sense of empowerment.” - Neil Degrasse Tyson

“There's nothing I believe in more strongly than getting young people interested in science and engineering, for a better tomorrow, for all humankind.” - Bill Nye
