Trey Parker & Matt Stone are famously known for creating one of the most controversial shows ever, with their creation of South Park. Last night South Park creators released the brand new introduction to the show  with the 17th season premiere revealed.. South Park fans had a mixed emotions when it came to how they felt, but it should be noted that only the intro is 3D, not the entire show.During the new introduction, the South Park characters re still in their traditional 2d form, but the background has a full 3d effect.

The intro still follows the same pattern as previous airings in past seasons, of the four main characters, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and of course Kenny, who are traveling by bus through and around various locations near their home city of South Park.Including in the locations shown in the new South Park introduction were City Wok and Starks pond. The one clear view you get from the new intro is in fact that, clear. The fans now have a much easier time viewing places throughout the city, though the feel of the new intro did have a tiny feeling of “Simpsons did It”.

South Park released the new introduction video on their Facebook page yesterday with a mix bag of emotions from the fans, some were as nice as Kyle while others missed their ‘Cheesy Poofs” and complained like Cartman. On Facebook a fan left a comment: Not a fan seems like your bloody old Xbox game graphics." Another said: "Hate the 3D s**t! It completely ruins everything!!". While scrolling through the list another read: "I loved all your guys' intros previously. But this... Nah"

Though the new introduction seems to rub some fans the wrong way, there's always the polar opposite who were there defending their favorite show, through thick and thin. The more positive comments were similar as the following:  "I like the new intro, it would of been done to compliment the game which comes out at the end of the year (sic)”.

Then of course, there are those who speak directly at the haters and tell them things such as: S**t, people. It's just the intro. The show itself is still in the pristine s**tty animation quality we're fond of. 30 seconds out of 25 minutes of 3D animation isn't gonna kill you." With the season 17 officially underway, South Park looks to capitalize on this new intro with the release of their new video game, “The Stick of Destiny”, which is confirmed to be released on December 10th, 2013 in the US and on December 12th in Europe and it will be available for the PS3. Xbox and PC.
