I.M.C-- The Infinite Monkey Cage is one of the few podcast/radio programs that manage to make learning both fun and inspiring. What Neil Degrasse Tyson is to the Americans, Brian Cox is to the British, intellectually fun and charismatic people. Mr. Cox is a professor of Particle Physics and if you have no idea on what that is just know this, it is a field of study that is extremely important not only in science but in our very existence. Co-hosted by longtime friend and comedian Robin Ince, they two work together perfectly like Batman and Robin whos podcasts create a kind of elementary particle.
Brian Cox was recently on the Joe Rogan Experience which is a podcast that is host by, yep you guessed it, Joe Rogan. During his visit to the show he brought up the U.S Tour that will be going on around the states in 4 locations throughout March, finally a tour that will give you more than one nights worth of kicks.
Here is a list of the 4 shows across America in the month of March:
March 5th- NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York with Special Guests Neil Degrasse Tyson, Jenna Levin, TBA & TBA
March 7th- Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago with Special Guests Paul Sereno, Jerry Allen Coyne, TBA & TBA
March 12th- Ricardo Mountain Theater in Los Angeles with Special Guests Joe Rogan, Mayim Bialik, Sean M. Carroll & David X. Cohen
March 13th- Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco with Special Guests Seth Shostak, Carolyn Porco, TBA & TBA
Tickets are on sale now so make sure you get them while they last, especially if listening to science and jokes is your thing. As shown above with the “TBA”, there will be 2 other guests who will join the Infinite Monkey Cage in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
Personally speaking, I for one will be looking to make a trip to the Greater Los Angeles and catching a show I have been listening to over the past couple of years and have had an even greater pleasure in reading some of Professor Brian Cox’s work.
Head over to the official Infinite Monkey Cage to order your tickets, and don’t forget to spread the word. Let’s make science something that everyone wants to know about and take down that crap we call entertainment…*cough* *cough* Kim Kardashian *cough* *cough*.
