Speaking of, let’s take a look at who is the top earners in the world of “celebrity” chefs. Here is a small sample of 5 of the best celebrity chefs from around the world, with each have made a name for themselves on the media circuit. Whether you have had a chance to dine on one of their famous dishes however, is another question entirely altogether.

5. Emeril Lagasse

Known for his catchphrase, “Let’s kick it up a notch, BAM!”, Emeril has been a fan favorite for a long time in the American households across the nation. Whether it’s creating a new dish, writing a book or opening up another restaurant, Emeril’s net worth in 2014 is around $50 Million. His “Emeril Empire” rakes in an estimated $150 Million annually, not bad for just being a ‘chef.’

4. Rachael Ray

This “30 Minutes or Less” TV personality and chef picked up where a fallen Martha Stewart had been left off after the Enron debacle. With a TV show, magazine and a number of cooking books to make it on the bestseller list, Rachael Ray is the queen of chefs in the celebrity world. In 2014 she has an estimated earnings of $60 Million, but don’t let that fool you, Rachael Ray was also voted as a top 100 influential people in Time magazine.

3. Wolfgang Puck

Personally speaking, Wolfgang Puck was the first real celebrity chef before there were actually any real celebrity chefs. Coming fresh off the boat at 24 years of age from Paris, Wolfgang Puck found himself as the eventual part time owner and chef of the Los Angeles based restaurant,  Ma Maison. Since the 1980’s, Wolfgang Puck has gone on to release countless number of books, opened over 20 restaurants and made apperinces in more than one TV spot. His net worth as of 2014 is at an estimated $75 Million, however it should also be noted he is heavily involved with his philanthropic endeavors.

2. Gordon Ramsay

You would have had to have been sleeping under a rock for the past few years in order to have not bumped into this names at least once. Known just as much for his stern perspective as he is for his great food, Gordon Ramsay ensures his personality is showcased with everything he touches. Ramsay is the first Irishman to receive 3 Michelin stars, but don’t let that fool you into thinking he is merely just a chef. Gordon ramsay is also one that helps those that need help, two of his shows are about fixing up wither a rundown hotel or a restaurant that are both heading towards failure. He currently earns up to $255,000 per episode in his current TV contract, and earns an additional $45 Million a year from his other media and restaurant investments. As of 2014, Gordon Ramsay is worth an estimated $120 Million.

1. Jamie Oliver

I would be lying if I said I knew Jamie Oliver was a more successful celebrity chef than Gordon Ramsay, however I would also be lying if I said I’ve watched or read anything he has contributed too. Nevertheless, Jamie Oliver is the most successful celebrity chef in the world, and that is by no small margin. As of 2014, Mr Oliver is estimated to be worth $400 Million, yes that is with two zeros. Leading the charge on eating healthier in both the American and British school systems, Jamie Oliver is against all processed foods. His first real claim to fame is through the “Naked Chef,” whether you have seen it or not, chances are you’ve at least heard of it. If there is one thing that Jamie would want you to know, it would be to eat healthier, and if you need help he is the one to show you how.
